The U.S. Census Bureau of Statistics recently released a report that reveals that the median age for a bride in 2010 is 25.9 years old. This is compared to the youngest median age of 20.1 which was recorded in 1956,
Men are also waiting longer than ever to marry, with an average age of 28.1 for those having their first wedding. Compared to 22.5 also recorded in 1956.
The federal government first began keeping track of this wedding statistic in 1890.
