The Wedding Day Ghost Photo

wedding day ghost photo
wedding ghostsOur intern found this photo of a wedding day ghost photo on this website that was originally submitted to About.com.

Details:
This is a photo of my aunt's wedding day. The year was 1942, and the photo was taken with a box camera. On some of my feedback I'm told it's not really there! Well, I know it is. This picture has been passed down. Please give me some feedback. I would like too see what everyone thinks. It was taken in Jasper, Alabama. -- Liz

What are you thoughts?

  3. Beings sick these days has me watching a lot of Ghost Lab and Paranormal State. I'm currently alone in my office and might have a ghost standing right beside me but I think most of the time our eyes see what they want to see; ears hear what they want to hear; we feel what we want to feel. I imagine there are ghost in the world but we bump into more creepy people on a daily basis than we do ghost ;-).

  5. It's just like we see shapes in clouds and shadows - the human mind always tries to make recognisable patterns.

  6. Having actually SEEN a real ghost (and I didn't believe in them before, naysayers, and at the time of the "sighting" was only thinking about the pizza I was going to order for dinner), I think it's entirely possible, if it wasn't a hoax or prank, that is. Yes, there are ghosts, and anyone who says there's not is either a fool, or narrow-minded to the point where he or she sould walk around with horse blinders on.

  8. Is there also a negative? I would think getting the negative checked by a reputable photo lab, might be helpful. It's kind of funny that the ghost appears to be wearing a sheet!

There are many websites dedicated to ghost sightings in photos. One of the creepiest ghost photos, is the photo of a couple with a snarling demonic looking dog over the man's shoulder. This photo has even been featured on paranormal TV shows. It's creeping me out just thinking about it.
