Weird. This article from Consumerist.com explains how a recently engaged couple, who never notified any retailers or websites about their big news, received an e-mail from Pottery Barn inviting them to start a Web registry. Why would Pottery Barn send an invitation to create a wedding gift registry to someone who hasn't even signed up or informed any other retailers about their upcoming wedding? Oh yeah, did we forget to mention that the only thing that they did change was their Facebook status. You've been warned. Full Story
