That is pretty awesome! I'm kind of torn, though, because I think it might be taking the suprise dancing too far. The ceremony is about love and a lifelong commitment, and it seems like they are taking it a little too lightly. But big ups for being unique and fun as always.
It was cute. But it was not appropriate for in doing this inside the church. That should have been done in an outdoor wedding or a banquet hall. They needed to have more respect for the House of God. Some of the dance moves were just not appropriate for inside the church. I agree with gangsta bride. "It was taken too far" considering where it was done at. I'm just really disappointed in this now married couple's lack of respect for the church.
It looks like the bride and groom are having fun--which is what it's all about. If it was OK with the preacher (and it looked like it was), and the parents, and their attendants were willing--great! I wish I could think of something to make my wedding as memorable to my guests and theirs is!
This was so funny that I cried. It was great. Was it appropriate for church ceremony? Um. maybe not. But I will say that it made me laugh in a way I haven't laughed in a while...and I could tell that they had a blast doing it. Love all of their personalities...Love the energy- So unexpected yet so fun!
Many traditions include dancing the groom into the temple just before the nuptial ceremony takes place. Even the Christian church has a tradition of Liturgical Dance, so any comments on the couple disrespecting the church is a moot point. If you feel that it is disrespectful, then I imagine that you would not even consider it a possibility. That this couple were able to bring joy and laughter to this ceremony, tells me that the Holy Spirit guided them.
That was so lively and creative! I think it's great that the bride and groom decided to personalize their ceremony; it made for a nice way to showcase their personalities and truly make their day their own!
Why does being in a church have to be dull? Why is Mozart's wedding march any more appropriate than this? It's about personal taste. I thought it was brilliant - it didn't make me laugh; it moved me. It was so full of joy. And I loved the way Kevin danced back to lead Jill to the front. Fantastic!
That is pretty awesome!

ReplyDeleteTo anyone "offended" by dancing in the "House of God" take a chill pill. Even God has a sense of humor. Look at the platypus.
ReplyDeleteIt's cute as can be! Love to see fun being had! To each their own. Kudoes to the Church that let them do this.
